Sathya Sai Baba

Sri Sathya Sai Baba is one of the most revered Spiritual Masters living in the world today. He has been silently transforming the world by re-establishing the eternal values of Truth, Love, Right conduct, Peace, and Non-Violence in every day life.

Sai Baba was born on November 23rd, 1926 in a village called Puttaparthi in India. Since childhood, Sai Baba demonstrated the virtues of compassion, selfless service, humility and respect for elders.

The teaching of Sri Sathya Sai Baba are universal. He has declared, “ The entire mankind is My Family. There is no one in this world who does not belong to me. I shall not give you up even if you keep away from Me. I shall not forsake even those who deny Me. Those who near Me, as well as those who stay away from Me, will be drawn near and saved,”

Sri Sathya Sai Baba can only be described as the personification of pure, selfless love the embodiment of perfect peace and bliss, the essence of goodness. In His Teachings, He emphasises the unity of all religions in the oneness of divinity.

Swami says, “Love is God, God is Love “. Love more and more people, transform Love into Service, into Worship, that is the highest spiritual practice. Swami has emphasised the supreme importance of pure Love. He says, “I have come to light the lamp of Love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added lustre. Cultivate the attitude of oneness between people of all creeds and all continents to establish world peace. “

Swami says “My life is My message”. He has demonstrated this by examples of establishing educational establishments, hospitals, supplying water for remote villages.

Swami, without any financial assistance from either the Government or National or International Financial institutions, has provided and continues to provide free education, benefiting thousands. He provides advanced and sophisticated medical care, absolutely free of charge. Tens of thousands of poor people have received this benefit. He has also provided pure drinking water to millions.

How has Swami been able to achieve all this? According to him, it is entirely through Love, Love that is pure and selfless, Love gives and then forgets. The devotees of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba around the world are following his examples.

He says, “I have come not to disturb or destroy any faith but to confirm each in his own faith so that a Christian becomes a better Christian, a Muslim a better Muslim, and a Hindu becomes a better Hindu.” He says there is only one religion- the religion of love.
